Twicos provides Plant Design CAD solutions to create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on the basic process design carried out for a process plant.These diagrams help designers in understanding the utility flows to process units, the basic control system that regulate flow between process units, piping configuration, all entering and exit connections, limited details on internals (e.g., trays), drains, instrument connections, all sensors (including location of display and calculation), valves, utility streams, safety equipment, isolation valves, and machinery (motors).
Piping Stress Analysis/ Flow Analysis
Based on the preliminary plant layout, stress analysis of the piping systems is carried out to ensure that the operating stresses due to dead weight, temperature, pressure, wind loads, earthquake loads etc. remain within the permissible limits prescribed by various governing codes applicable for process plants, powerplants, gas plants, fertilizer plants etc.If induced stress fall outside the permissible limit then the plant layout or support structure is modified as per the Static & Dynamic analysis output.Detailed pipe sizing & flow analysis is carried out to ensure that pump specifications chosen & piping layout drawn are adequate enough to meet the flow rate & pressure drop requirement at various inlets & outlets points in the plant.
Plant 3 D Modeling
Plant 3D modeling solutions provided by Twicos are used in modeling & optimizing the pipinglayout along with equipment and structures etc3D visualization & walkthrough features help in early detection & removal of clashes in piping, structures, equipments etc.
Isometric Drawings
The deliverables of Plant 3D CAD models are 2D General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), EquipmentLayouts, Isometric Drawings & Bill of materials forvarious purposes such as fabrication, erection,purchase & maintenance.
